Bio: Dr. Cun-Yue Guo is Professor of Polymer Chemistry and Physics at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). He read chemical engineering at Taiyuan University of Technology (TUT) with a Bachelor’s Degree (1985−1989) and majored in chemical engineering at TUT with a Master’s Degree (1994−1997). Dr. Guo finished his Ph.D. thesis in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS), in 2003 and joined ICCAS as an Assistant Research Professor and was promoted to an Associate Research Professor in 2006. Dr. Guo had been a Visiting Professor at the University of Greifswald, Germany (2007−2008). Dr. Guo’s principal areas of interest and expertise include functional polymer-based composites, olefin polymerization, The main goal of Dr. Guo’s research programs is to develop high-performance polymer-based composite materials. His recent research projects focus on the preparation of thermoelectric composites, novel polyolefins, and carbon dioxide utilization. Prof. Guo is member of Chinese Chemical Society, Chinese Chemical Engineering Society, and Chinese Materials Research Society. Dr. Guo is member of the editorial board of Molecules (2022−).
Dr. Guo has served as referees for more than 110 SCI journals like Macromolecules, Nature Communications, Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, etc. He also serves as an external reviewer of Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (2013), professional referee of National Natural Science Foundation of China (2003−), etc. Dr. Guo has published nearly 160 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 42 conference speeches and posters, and 26 authorized patents.
